Publication Standards
The publication’s standards for accuracy, attribution, community contributions, and corrections.
Verification
Use primary documents and reliable sources where possible. Do not present unverified accusations as established facts. Identify uncertainty and provide relevant context.
Fairness and response
Seek meaningful comment from people or institutions facing serious factual allegations when feasible and appropriate.
News and opinion
Clearly label news, analysis, opinion, satire, and reader submissions. Guest opinions do not necessarily reflect the publication’s position.
Corrections
Review credible correction requests in good faith and make material corrections transparent. A correction contact channel will be published when configured.
Moderation
We may edit, decline, or remove submissions. We do not guarantee publication or a response to every submission.
